Andrew Parkinson, Managing Director

Andrew

Andrew is responsible for the investment portfolios and the operations of the company. Prior to joining Van Arbor, Andrew was the president of Cundill Investment Research Ltd. Andrew has provided expertise to securities commissions, brokerage houses, custodians, transfer agents and mutual fund firms and has worked with a financial futures exchange and a merchant bank.

Andrew currently is the Vice-Chair of the International Financial Centre (IFC) British Columbia, a non-profit society set up to encourage offshore financial activity to be transacted in British Columbia and is a Director of the Investment Counsel Association of Canada, an industry organization for Member firms that are in the business of managing client investments.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), and holds an MBA (Finance) from Cass Business School, City University in London, England and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary.

Youssef Zohny, Associate Portfolio Manager

Youssef

Youssef is responsible for the investment portfolio strategy, investment research, and global macroeconomic analysis. Youssef is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Physics & Mathematics followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. His main fields of interests are Behavioral Finance, Macroeconomics, Economic History, and Geopolitics. Youssef holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

Susan Hall, Market Development

Susan

Susan is responsible for market development at Van Arbor.  Susan is a former executive director, debt capital markets for CIBC World Markets where she was responsible for fixed income products in Canada and government securities in Asia.

Susan volunteers for a number of organizations including Hockey Education Reaching Out Society (board director), 2009 Gold Medal Plates Dinner (advisory council), Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (mentor) and the Association of Women in Finance (scholarship committee).

Susan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), and holds a Master of Science in Banking and Financial Services Management from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and Political Studies from Queen’s University.
